Bridges and Walls is a collection of songs that defies easy explanation. Though folky, it is not soley folk rock, though filled with irish whistle, djembe, and doumbek, it is not world music. Though struggling with faith and praising Jesus, it is not worship music. What Bridges and Walls is though is heartfelt, honest, probing, and thoughtful; not giving easy answers, and not flinching away from the dark and confusing sides of our human journey. Bridges and Walls is ultimately a celebration of our whole lives and a testimony of how times of orientation, disorientation, and re-orientation are ultimately embraced by the strong and mighty source of grace.
